Short Sales

A 'short sale', in the simplest of terms, is a type of home sale in which the homeowner owes more money to the lender (s) than the value of the home. Short sales are often an advantageous alternative to a foreclosure for homeowners as they typically result in less damage to their credit score in addition to preventing certain tax and judgement issues and, unlike foreclosures, providing the homeowners with a larger amount of control over the sale and deficiency process.
